On May 31, nothing of note was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, so there weren’t many exclusive promotions for retailers to brag about.

So Best Buy is looking forward to Father’s Day (June 19) with its “best deals” on

A banner reading “Give dad one of his favorite movies” linked to a slew of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray titles such as The Suicide Squad, No Time to Die, Dune: Part One, Last Night in Soho, Moonfall, Hacksaw Ridge, The Hurt Locker, Apocalypse Now, The Matrix Resurrections, A Clockwork Orange and halloween kills.

Another promotion, using the “I’m Father’s Day” pun, tied to “Star Wars” movies, with 4K titles at $17.99, Blu-rays at $13.99 and DVDs at $8 $.99. The Best Buy-exclusive “Skywalker Saga” box set was listed for $179.99, a savings of $45 off the regular price.

Another Best Buy sale offered 15% off two or more select movie titles when purchased in-store. Titles included John Wick, The Goonies, ET, Terminator 2, Joker, Ready Play One, Godzilla vs. Kong, the “Fast & Furious” collection and more.

Target didn’t offer any DVD or Blu-ray deals, but offered a “Days of Play” sale with up to 50% savings on the best PlayStation video games and accessories.
