Let there be carnage sees Hardy reprise the role of Brock, a reporter and host of the titular alien symbiote. The film also stars Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady aka Carnage, as he was introduced in the post-credits scene of the first film, released in 2018.

Naomie Harris plays Frances Barrison aka Shriek, while Michelle Williams returns as Anne Weying, defense lawyer and Brock’s ex-fiancée.

Hardy recently weighed in on the possibility of a third Venom movie.

“These things [usually] come in threes, “the actor said.” If there is to be a new one – and they depend heavily on each other’s success, so you can’t count on them to spawn – each has to be too if it was the last.

“But I think it’s really important, if you go into something thinking that one, two, and three are the same… the same story, the same movie… make a third out of nowhere.
