Despite opposition from Democratic Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Biden and the Democrats in Congress appear determined to move forward with the “Build Back Broke” plan, as we call it here in Montana.
Montana Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) highlighted opposition to Biden’s BBB plan by a Montana farmer and rancher.

Susan Lake: 75%. I mean, it’s ridiculous to think fertilizers are 75% higher than last year. And we wonder what’s going to happen when we start planting our crops in the spring, that really worries me because we really don’t know what’s going to happen.
The Build Back Better Bill is just another example of Washington, DC losing control
Susan Lake: The bill for building back better is government growth and debt growth. I think they make rural life difficult. And who’s kidding, nothing costs zero. We travel long distances, we consume more gas, we don’t jump on the subway. Nothing this better rebuild bill does helps that. It is not fair to the American middle class who, at the end of the day, know that we are the ones who are going to pay.
