The acclaimed animated film Ron’s Gone Wrong is out now in theaters, but understandably, many fans are wondering when they will be able to watch the film from the comfort of their own homes on Disney Plus.

There’s good news for fans – Ron’s Gone Wrong is expected to hit streaming platforms next month, just in time for Christmas.

Arrived on our screens courtesy of brand new Locksmith Animation studio, the film centers around a faulty robot with a mind of its own and explores the impact of artificial intelligence on children’s real relationships.

Directed by Sarah Smith and Jean-Philippe Vine, the film stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Zach Galifianakis, Olivia Colman, Ed Helms, Justice Smith, Rob Delaney, Thomas Barbusca, Kylie Cantrall, Marcus Scribner and Ricardo Hurtado.

Speaking of the expression of main character Ron the Robot, Galifianakis (The Hangover) told Sky News, “They didn’t want me to get too expressive because it hasn’t been programmed that way yet. was delicate – I mean, not too complicated, but it’s one of those things that took me a long time to figure out.

“One of the producers, writers, directors would say, ‘Hey, that’s a little too human’, which is, by the way, a direction that I never had!”

The unusual shared release date is part of a deal between WarnerMedia and Disney that will see the two media companies share co-exclusive rights to the films until release year 2022, according to Variety.

In the meantime, a slew of other movies and TV series have been released in November 2021 on Disney Plus in honor of its second anniversary.

The month saw a variety of content released, including Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the streaming debut of Jungle Cruise, Home Alone reboot Home Sweet Home Alone, and the second season of The World According to Jeff Goldblum.

Peter Jackson’s Beatles documentary and Darren Aronofsky’s Oscar-nominated thriller Black Swan have also become available on the platform.

Fans will also be delighted to learn that the film is already available for pre-order ahead of its DVD, Blue-ray and 4K UHD release.

A standard Blu-ray costs £ 14.99 and a DVD just £ 9.99 from Zavvi and HMV.

Ron’s Gone Wrong centers around a boy whose life is turned upside down when he receives a faulty robot.

“In Ron’s Gone Wrong, things take a turn for the worse when Barney, a socially awkward college boy, receives a faulty digitally connected device that’s supposed to be his ‘out-of-the-box best friend’,” the official synopsis read.
