Hooked On Wrestling and Freemantle Home Entertainment are celebrating the anniversary with an event at BOXPARK Wembley, just steps from the stadium that hosted the famous Intercontinental Championship match between Bret “Hitman” Hart and “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, a match that lasted a place in the main event in front of 80,000 fans and was heralded as one of the best of either man’s career. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 (London, England): Hooked On Wrestling Fremantle Home Entertainment is delighted to announce that it has teamed up for an exclusive anniversary screening of SummerSlam 1992 which will take place on Monday, August 22 just a stone’s throw from where the late British Bulldog pinned Bret’ Hitman’ Hart to win the Intercontinental Championship in front of over 80,000 of his countrymen.

Now, for the very first time, the event will be screened in its entirety as it happened that late summer night, including all of the “dark” matches in the order they took place on the map.

The special evening will take place at BOXPARK Wembley, a venue in the shadow of Wembley Stadium which has become world famous in recent years as the epicenter of English support at major international football tournaments and a hugely entertaining weigh-in scene. for the heavyweight boxing showdown between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte in April this year.

The screening will be complemented by an exhibition of memorabilia from SummerSlam 1992 and special live, big-screen appearances from a number of British wrestler names, past and present, discussing the impact the event has had on them. .
