It’s finally Christmas week, although for some it probably happened faster than they wanted. 2021 has passed in the blink of an eye and it’s hard to believe we only have 10 days left this year.

The only thing people wish for every Christmas is a white Christmas, and while that is still undecided this year (rain for Christmas Eve and possible showers for Christmas Day), we know we’ll have snow before. this here in western New York.

Mike Cejka of WIVB 4 Warn Weather says the area will see snowfall tonight and tomorrow. The totals won’t be big but something to keep in mind while driving.

Lake effect snow bands could impact Wednesday too. For that Wednesday morning drive, you could see snow showers.

As for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we will see some showers and temperatures around 50 degrees. However, these temperatures drop overnight and through Christmas Day, with snow showers possible for Christmas Day, especially in the afternoon.

So overall not the most gruesome Christmas weather forecast, but it sure won’t be like we saw last year with a foot of snow between Christmas Eve and December 26th. .

I have to travel to Batavia to my in-laws on Christmas Day, so I’m thankful we won’t have a ton of snow that day, although I love a white Christmas.
