Hey might be on vacation after his radio gig, but he’s still watching the cows and listening to the radio, of course. We got a great phone call on our statewide radio show from Paul Mushaben, one of “The Breakfast Flakes” on Cat Country in Billings, MT.

A lady called for the “Montana talks” and said she heard a theory that former President Donald Trump would run for the United States House of Representatives, be named Speaker of the House after the GOP took over. control of the House, then the House could remove Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Donald Trump could then be sworn in as president again, according to this theory.

This caused Mushaben to call in his pickup while he was feeding the cows.

Paul Mushaben (The Breakfast Flakes): I needed to clear everyone up on this Trump becoming president becoming president of the United States. This will never happen, and I’ll tell you why. It will not happen. Because this only happens, the speaker only becomes president if the president and vice-president, for example, are killed in an attack on the country. If they’re both killed. The same time. If we were to impeach Joe Biden, he would have his own trial. Joe Biden would get his own impeachment trial. If convicted and removed from office, Kamala Harris automatically becomes president, of which, at that point, she is constitutionally required to appoint a new vice-president. If they then removed Kamala Harris and she was found guilty, then her chosen vice president would become president and the succession continues.

And, of course, the likelihood of the Senate getting the votes necessary to impeach Biden and Harris is extremely low. We were doing; however, say how great it would be if Trump were the Speaker of the House. Trump would do what he says he would, and too often Republicans take over the hammer and fail to use the power they have.

While I had it on the phone, I also had to bring up the fact that inflation under President Biden is now worse than it has been since 1982, the year Diet Coke was released for the first time. Were Paul Mushaben and Mark Wilson even on the air at the time? They’ve been on the radio for 33 years as Breakfast Flakes – have they ever seen such bad inflation?

Paul Mushaben: Oh, yeah, that’s awful. Actually, Aaron, I started. It was my first year on radio in October 1982. Mark and I started in 1982. But inflation, you can’t inject billions of dollars into an economy that has no base, no support, they l ‘print. If you and I did this, why would we all be in jail? If we needed a new washing machine and printed a few hundred and went to Fred’s house, we’d be in jail. Money has no more value. And I’ll tell you, I’m sorry – small business people, farmers, ranchers, even everyday families, they can’t keep up with the current rate of inflation. We’re headed for a train wreck. We’re going to have a correction one of these days. And I hope if you have a New Years resolution, I hope people get their ducks in a row. Hope people will become bulletproof. Hope you save money. Frugality is going to be big over the next year or so, and if you do that stuff, you can handle it when it happens.

Paul also wanted to tell us what he thinks the next real uphill battle will be for our country. Listen to the full chat below:
